It sits high, where the land opens out. In the afternoon the water takes the colour of the sky and holds it until evening, and under the pergola there is always a metre of shade moving with the sun. Nobody will ask you to free up your lounger.

The dry heat of the sauna, in wood, with the countryside behind the glass. And the wet heat of the steam room, which is the other half of the ritual: you alternate, you step out, you breathe the air outside. It is the moment in the day when the body understands you have arrived.

The hot tub is not near the vineyard: it is inside it. You get in as the sun goes down behind the rows, and from then on what happens, happens — usually, that nobody wants to get out.

Loungers under the pergola, sofas facing the glass, and the sound the countryside makes when there is no sound at all. On request, someone who knows how to work with their hands: the massage happens here, in the shade or indoors, at the hour you choose.
